Head of department statement

As the head of the community medicine department at Sabratha medical college , I am committed to promoting the health and well-being of our community through education, research, and service. Our department is dedicated to addressing the social determinants of health, advocating for health equity, and collaborating with community partners to improve population health outcomes.

 

We strive to train future healthcare professionals in the principles of preventive medicine, public health, and community engagement. Through our research efforts, we aim to identify and address key public health issues facing our community. And through our service initiatives, we work to empower individuals and communities to make informed decisions about their health.

 

I am proud to lead a team of dedicated faculty, staff, and students who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Mission:

The mission of the community medicine department is to train future healthcare professionals in the principles of population health, preventive medicine, and community-based care. Through innovative teaching methods and experiential learning opportunities, students will develop the skills necessary to address the unique needs of diverse populations and advocate for policies that promote health equity.

 

The goals of the community medicine department include:

 

1. Educating students on the importance of social determinants of health and their impact on individual and community well-being.

2. Providing opportunities for students to engage in hands-on experiences in underserved communities to gain a better understanding of their healthcare needs.

3. Conducting research that informs evidence-based practices for improving population health outcomes.
